Youth Jumu'ah: A Sense of Hope and Inspiration

On 14 June 2024, the community's youth came together at Masjidut Taqwa for an engaging Youth Jumu'ah, fostering a spirit of prayer and reflection.

The event featured the beautiful recitation of Surah Kahf by Haafith M. Saeed Abrahms, Haafith Anas Nakhooda, and Ameer Dolley, captivating the audience with their melodious voices and heartfelt devotion. The atmosphere was enriched with Qira'ah by Ameer Dolley from Madrasah Ibn Abas, setting a spiritual tone for the morning.

A highlight of the program was the series of short pre-khutbah speeches delivered by inspiring young speakers. Haafith Mohamed Umayr Joel from Nizamiye Al-Azhar Institute, Muhammad Gani from Madrasah Tahfeethil Quran, and Abdur-Rahman Aroyewun from Nelson Mandela University’s Muslim Student Association, each shared unique perspectives that resonated deeply with the audience, fostering a sense of connection and motivation among participants.

The Arabic Khutbah, delivered by Haafith Muzamil George, Madrasah teacher at Masjidut Taqwa Institute, was a significant part of the programme, adding depth and spirituality to the gathering. His delivery enhanced the overall atmosphere of reflection and unity. The event served as a reminder of the importance of community and connection amongst the youth.

To conclude the program, Salaah and Dua was led by Ismaeel Agherdien from Ma'hadus Suffah who brought the community together in Jama’ah, reinforcing the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood among participants. The Youth Jumu’ah at Masjidut Taqwa was an opportunity to empower the youth and leave a lasting impact on all who attended
