My name is Ameerah Davids and I am from PE. I graduated from Capsicum Culinary Arts Studio in 2021, having completed the Professional Chef Programme. I am also the eldest daughter of three children.
I won the Spirit of Capsicum Award when graduating from culinary school.
I have worked at Summerbreeze Spar for pastry experience and South
Boulevard Café
for cooking experience. I have also been assisting at my father's business, Orbits, as his right hand.
I have always been passionate about food from a very young age and I was in the kitchen with my grandmothers helping out while learning new things. Food makes me so excited and I really enjoy cooking items that people would enjoy and remember. My favourite dessert to make is a Creme Brûlée because it is a simple yet elegant dish that has French influence like many culinary cuisines.
The Indian dishes have always been a staple in a Muslim household, so many things I have made has been inspired by that culture as well.
I would like to open up my own café and run my own business in the future, Insha Allah. For now, I am excited to prepare delicious food, coffee and drinks for you at Taqwa Coffee Shop.
