Masjidut Taqwa’s Gala Dinner: A Night of Nasheed & Salawaat

The evening was held at the Nafa Hall and began with a warm welcome and opening Du’a by Shaykh Mukhtar Raban, followed by Salawaat led by Boorhanol Moulood Jamaah. As guests settled, they were treated to a tantalizing starter, setting the stage for the much-anticipated keynote address by Shaykh Ebrahim Gabriels. A well-respected figure in South Africa, Shaykh Gabriels shared words of wisdom and reflection, creating a tone of gratitude and unity for the evening.

Following Shaykh Gabriels’ inspiring talk, the main course was served, and guests were invited to perform Eshai salaah. The leading nasheed group in South Africa, Khuddamul Islam, then graced the evening with two sets of soul-stirring performances, with dessert served during the interval. Their soulful renditions of nasheeds resonated deeply with the attendees, creating an atmosphere of spiritual reflection and joy. The group's harmonious voices and heartfelt lyrics added a special touch to the evening.

As the night drew to a close, Boorhanol Moulood Jamaah took to the stage once more for the closing Salawaat. The evening concluded with a vote of thanks and a closing Du’a by Shaykh Mukhtar Raban, leaving everyone with a sense of spiritual fulfilment and community spirit.

During the event, guests were treated to a delectable three-course dinner, masterfully prepared and served by the talented Soraya Khan from Khans Catering. The ambiance of the event was beautifully enhanced by the decor, which was a collaborative effort by 3 Broke Girls and Aunty Shaheeda George. Their creativity and attention to detail transformed the Nafa Hall into a warm and inviting space, perfectly complementing the evening's celebratory mood. The elegant decor played a crucial role in making the event visually appealing and memorable.
