Severe flooding in Uitenhage on 2 June 2024 caused major damage and evacuations. Masjidut Taqwa quickly organized relief efforts, collecting donations and delivering supplies. Funds and supplies were distributed to coordinators to aid affected families.

The Youth Jumuah showcased spiritual recitations, inspiring speeches, and a meaningful Khutbah. Led by dedicated youth and concluded with Salaah and Dua, it left a profound impact on attendees, celebrating faith and fostering empowerment.

Masjidut Taqwa hosted Taraweeh prayers led by Huffaath, streamed live for remote participation. Youth Taraweeh sessions and a Khatamul Quran ceremony celebrated community spirit and spiritual growth, fostering deep connections and gratitude.

The YES programme at Masjidut Taqwa offers local youth employment and work experience, equipping them with skills for future success. The initiative has grown over three years, expanding from two to seven positions in 2024, enhancing community support.

The Taqwa Coffee Shop, opened in December 2023, introduces the first masjid-dining experience. Managed by Aadil and Saalihah Kahaar, it hosts various events and features a weekly Jumu’ah special. It has quickly become a beloved community cornerstone.
